i like that these photos seem to linger around looking like they’re from the Quaker era (the woman) or the time of the Gettysburg address by Lincoln (the man, infact, he kind of looks like Lincoln). the pictures and the poster give a great voice to creating artifices (and artificiality) and our desire to create an history. why are we so ashamed of our history that we have to buy a made up one?
