so i don’t know how many of you read postsecret.com…it’s really interesting if you don’t…but at the end of this weeks there was a link to this http://www.foundmagazine.com/ not sure if it’s on this blog or not but is basically a magazine/website with things people have found written on various things…a lot of them poetic ) check it out!

  1. Thanks for the link! Actually a few years ago I attended a Post Secret Exhibit in Georgetown. They had displayed all the postcards, letters, post-its, etc. that people from all over had sent in with their personal secret written on them. It was a great experience to see them all collectively in one big room. The line to get in wound itself around several side streets, it was so popular. I am not surprised because the secrets that people send in range from hilarious, to insightful, to something you yourself can identity with and to the very personal and touching. Great call on sharing the link.

  2. I completely agree with you about post secret. I feel that each post is a poetic expression. The whole process reminds me of a poetive idea that a poet has to confine his emotion in a succinct manner in order to have a sense of cohesiveness. Also, a poem can 5 lines and be more insightful and meaningful than a 10 page poem. I think that’s why the posts on postsecret.com are so relatable. There’s no time to dance around your emotion or stall, its right there for everyone to see.
